Privacy

Wild West Pioneers Guide is a static site. There are no accounts, no logins, and nothing on it asks you for personal information. It runs two analytics services, and this page says plainly what each collects.

Analytics

  • Google Analytics 4 counts visits and records which pages get used. Its enhanced measurement is on, so it also records scroll depth, clicks that leave the site, file downloads and site searches. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off in its configuration.
  • Microsoft Clarity records sessions: pointer movement, clicks and scrolling, so pages can be replayed and aggregated into heatmaps. Saying this site “only collects anonymous statistics” would be false while Clarity is installed, so it does not say that. It starts the first time you press a mouse button or a key, touch the screen or scroll on a page, so a visit that only loads a page and leaves without any of those loads nothing from Microsoft. Once it starts, Microsoft’s servers set their own cookies on clarity.ms and bing.com.

These services set their own identifiers. This site does not try to identify individual visitors, and you can confirm which scripts load by viewing source on any page.

None is served in this build.

What this site itself stores

Nothing on a server. The opening checklist on the home page remembers which steps you ticked, in your own browser’s local storage; it is never sent anywhere, and the “Clear my ticks” button removes it. The light or dark theme you pick is kept the same way.

What reaches Cloudflare

The site is served as static files from Cloudflare, so ordinary web server request logs exist at that layer, as they do for any website. This site does not query them.

Opting out

A content blocker, or a browser that blocks third-party scripts, stops analytics from loading entirely. Nothing on this site depends on any of them working.

Who runs it

An independent fan project, not the game’s developer or publisher; the about page says more, and the terms cover use of the site.
