Wild West Pioneers on Reddit, Discord and YouTube

Official answers land mostly on the Steam discussions forum. The Discord linked from the store is the publisher’s shared server, Reddit talk lives in general city-builder subreddits, and the official videos are on Toplitz Productions’ YouTube channel. Where do the developers answer questions?

On the Steam discussions forum. Most replies come from a Toplitz community manager, whose account carries Steam’s developer badge but belongs to the publisher, and from a studio account that answers French threads. That is where the price was given (see price and editions), where controller support was ruled out for now, and where the voice-over questions were answered (see the AI art page).

Before launch, the publisher collected questions for the dev team in a forum thread and read the answers out on its Twitch channel the day before Early Access opened. Is there a Wild West Pioneers Discord?

There is a Discord, but it is the publisher’s rather than the game’s. The note on the store page ends with “Join us on Discord”, and the link goes to discord.gg/toplitz, the Toplitz Productions server that also hosts Medieval Dynasty, Sengoku Dynasty and the publisher’s other games. An earlier announcement said you reach the Wild West Pioneers channel by picking the Pioneer role, and the closed playtest was run through the same server: you joined and applied there. Where is Wild West Pioneers on Reddit?

Mainly in r/CityBuilders, through posts from the account u/EmpireCrafters. The name matches the team, but the account’s identity is not verified. The same account also posts in r/StrategyGames and r/IndieDev.

Which creators have played it?

All of these were recorded before Early Access opened, on the demo or on pre-launch builds handed to creators. The opening costs they show match the gameplay footage released at launch, but later chains have not all been checked against the launch build; the first two hours guide marks every such number.
