Which languages does Wild West Pioneers support?

Seven: English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Polish, Simplified Chinese and Russian. Only English has full voice acting. In the other six you read the game in your language and hear it in English.

Which languages have voices?

Spanish (Spain)YesYesNo

Simplified ChineseYesYesNo

(Listed on the Steam store page) Every language gets the interface and subtitles; only English is ticked for full audio. Watch out for short language lists copied from Steam’s data, where the footnote “languages with full audio support” lands right after Russian: the asterisk it explains belongs to English, and Russian is not voiced. The English voices are human performances; how they replaced the earlier placeholder voices is covered on the AI art question.

Can you turn the English voices off?

If you would rather just read in your own language, that looks possible. Back in the demo, Toplitz said it was thinking about making the voice-overs optional, “so you could turn them off in the settings if you prefer.” A player in the same thread then reported that the demo’s sound settings already let you switch voices off. (Discussed in Steam discussions: publisher reply on turning voice-overs off) That is a player’s report about the demo build, so look for a voice volume slider in the Early Access audio settings rather than taking it as a promise.

When was Russian added?

Early, after players asked. Toplitz first replied that Russian was not planned, then came back to the same thread: “I just got the update, that we have added Russian to the supported Languages.” (Posted by Toplitz in Steam discussions: publisher reply adding Russian) Russian is text only, like the other non-English languages.

Will there be Brazilian Portuguese?

Probably not. Asked for a Brazilian Portuguese interface, Toplitz answered:

“Hello, Brazilian Portuguese is not planned and unless there are massive editions to the wishlist from BR, then it most likely won't happen.”

(Posted by Toplitz in Steam discussions: publisher reply on Brazilian Portuguese)

What about Thai, Hungarian, Turkish or Czech?

None of them is in the list. Players have asked on the Steam forum for Turkish, Italian and Korean, among others, with no change to the seven so far. If you are searching for a Thai mod or a Hungarian fan translation (a “magyarítás”), those would be unofficial projects: neither the team nor Toplitz has published anything about fan translations or mod support either way. Anything you install that way comes from its own authors, not from the game’s makers. The cheats and saves page covers what third-party tools touch.

Is the French translation complete?

It ships, with known rough edges. During the open playtest a French player could not find the grocery (l’épicerie); a studio account on the forum replied “C'est un bug connu de nos équipes.” and explained that the grocery and the canteen (la cantine) are the same building. (Posted in Steam discussions: studio reply on a French translation bug) The same account also acknowledged misaligned text on the efficiency screen. If a building name in your language seems missing, the English name on the food chains page may help you match it.
